Love the old-fashioned 300-year-old manner that is still 90% original… The staff was nothing less than spectacular and a big shout out to Luong who did everything he could to ensure our stay was outstanding and even gave us a free upgrade to a beautiful suite, and Hieu for taking his time out of his day both days we were there to ensure our trip was going extremely well explaining everything to us showing us around of places to go making sure we were looked after the hotel and always checking to make sure we were happy with our food or accommodations or anything we needed and Van Anh she was so polite and raced around to help with what ever we needed The hotel was very well kept the rooms were extremely clean. Everything you needed. It was there and if we were required anything they drop what they were doing and make sure that we had whatever we needed… The food was outstanding. The breakfast was very, very good that was free and included one of the best we’ve had on the whole trip . I highly recommend this place very close to 15 minutes from the airport lots of action and things to see and do around the area… Thank you all very much for making our stay so pleasant. It was a pleasure meeting all of you… One last shout out and it’s my bad because I forgot what his name was the fellow that worked in the bar he went to school And was very good. We were very helpful. We always had our drinks cold or whatever we needed just to make everybody happy… Doesn’t get much better than that. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We choose this hotel on location and price after studying previous guest's reviews - we were not disappointed as the hotel description on booking, com exactly matched reality, with everything shown on the website being presented to guests. Our room was comfortable, with a high ceiling typical of the French colonial period. The room decoration was excellent, as was the bathroom with its modern and tasteful ambience. The standard of housekeeping was excellent - our room was always made-up on our return. We were staying immediately after Tet had started so the hotel was not up to capacity. Depending on the number of guests each night, breakfast was either from their a le carte menu or a breakfast buffet - either choice was excellent with a range of foods from Asian to Western. We only took breakfast in the hotel, preferring to eat out elsewhere in the evening. There were several restaurants nearby, but travellers should note that in the 10 days after Tet the majority were closed for the Tet period - this did not cause us any problems as the Thai restaurant located a mere 100 metres to the west of the hotel remained open throughout Tet. We decided to use the hotel's travel desk to book a one-day cruise in Ha Long Bay (via their 7-hour VIP cruise utilising La Casta Cruises) - the hotel's arrangements and the cruise itself were excellent - a thoroughly enjoyable day out on a modern well-crewed and comfortable ship.

We have been travelling Thailand and Vietnam for 3.5 weeks and have stayed in lovely hotels but this was by far the most exceptional. it’s a beautiful place, decor really nice. Everything spotlessly clean. Staff absolutely exceptional. From Porter to receptionists to bar staff, restaurant staff and manager. We were looked after so well-a genuine warmth in everyone working here. We had the most delicious meal in the restaurant-it is expensive relatively speaking in Vietnam but it was so worth the extra money spent. it was haute cuisine. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We do hope to come back to Vietnam and we would make a trip to Haiphong just to stay here.

The dining room was beautiful, and we enjoyed our first dinner and the daily breakfast there. The buffet breakfast was good, and we loved the made-to-order omelet. The two ladies working at the hotel front desk are super helpful. They helped us purchase train tickets to Hanoi, change money, hire a taxi for a city tour, and go to the train station. There are few people speaking English in Hai Phong. All the signs are in Vietnamese only. Luckily, we were taken good care of by the hotel staff and had a wonderful time in Hai Phong.

We loved having the opportunity to sleep in a building that was 100 years old. Really stunning design. Room was spacious. Everything worked well. Breakfast was more than amazing. Help from the reception staff was off the charts. They really saved our bacon on booking some ferry tickets out of Phu Quoc. They did a great job. All the service was incredible. We booked a very worthwhile cruise in Halong Bay too. They got us on the tour at the very last minute. Much appreciated.
